Welcome. Rob Dunbar is an Earth Systems scientist and professor at Stanford University, with training in oceanography, climate dynamics, geology, and paleoclimatology. He has been documenting scientific research in the field with video, still, and aerial cameras since 1980. Research themes include: 1) Studying past climates with a view towards making better predictions of the future; 2) Understanding how marine organisms are affected by climate change; 3) Coral Reef Ecology, Chemistry, and Physics; 4) The role of the Southern Ocean and Antarctica in the global climate system; and 5) The intersection of nature and the human enterprise in the remote parts of our world. Documentary themes include: 1) Climate Change story-telling; 2) How animals utilize water as a living space; 3) Fields methods in teaching and research.This channel is set up to include new (post-2015) video productions made using new and existing video footage from projects all over the globe.
