I think I'm an Austra-erican. Or a Tex-Stralian. I was born in Utah, grew up in Grong-Grong, and now live in Dallas - via Sydney, San Francisco, Oklahoma City and Los Angeles.I started riding motorcycles when I was 9 years old. My gran was a gear nazi and to this day I practise what she taught me. I started working as a mechanics assistant immediately after crashing that Honda 90. When I was 14 I swapped the engine in my mothers car.I did my first track day in 1992. I repaired the bike after the plaster came off and of course I decided to try racing. I was never particularly good but I had a lot of fun, and learned more than I ever thought possible. After a while I started winning races, but winning gave me no particular thrill. I quit racing and spent the money and time riding dirt bikes and my RC30 at track days instead. In 2003 I started teaching new riders for MSF. I started coaching racers in 2009 and in 2016 I trained to be a rider coach with California Superbike School.
