Sri Lankan food recipes use all natural ingredients. It is safe to eat and is healthy, with natural spices, herbs and condiments. With many artificial ingredients in our food, I have gone back to basics, cooking food that is safe to eat. Every Sri Lankan family has their way of cooking. In these videos, I have used recipes and methods I have learned from my family. At other times, I have shared my own discoveries, tips and tricks. Methods or ingredients may differ and there is no right way or wrong way to cook a curry. Some ingredients may not be available to me and I have used substitutions when needed. Being Sri Lankan, we are open to trying out any food from any part of the world and I have included some of my favorite recipes from other cuisines.
